Pauline Hanson on QandA

We may not know know everything,  but we are deeply challenged when the unexpected happens. This is a good thing , maybe even a God thing ?
Say when Hanson and Trump arrive.
We should know that our brilliant piecing together of cause and effect are as deep as the birdbaths in which we all splash. Yes there are relative certainties and we should  chase them, but humility would take us further than most of us think ( You heard it first from EA)

As as scientist,  I could scream daily at the unquestioning acceptance of causation crap based on mere correlations that occurs especially on The ABC who falsely believe that some experiment will prove everything and that we can afford to wait for it.  Cul de Sacs that , lets be clear cost the community  careers and growth.


Is there any hope ? Maybe not for us and our shallowness,  but there is for the unltimate triumph of truth in our world and the wonderful , if strange ,  way it can happen .

For a person of no faith , or who relies on a sense of their own (or ABC reasoning) reasoning this phenomena of the child calling the child out can and should frighten;Very left field .The truth can set us free but we may not like who is telling us  .

Dastyari ( Q&A)wanted to paint over the cracks  ( blurring migration with refugee demands)   with niceness , dismissal and "you will answer my question first "  In doing so he had to avoid answering basic questions about really where he was coming from .
The world is not just responding to Islam with hate.  Its also responding to moderate islam's failure to address,  as Hanson says the ideology which drives it .
Waleed Aly and others need to talk to the fear,   not dodge it like dumb Dastyari did. Where is this man anyway like the sheepish lot who joined him on QandA

While many who support Hanson are,  like her , shallow in seeing realities and  maybe even shallower in solutions. they are right to ask questions and put propositions , Hanson is at least talking to the issues ( unlike most of the panel ) For the child to call the child ignorant is to "take one to know one " and not worthy as many noted of the hour wasted on QandA .

Its not often the job of members to solve problems,  but to hear what other members of the community are saying . So far Hanson is doing that.
 Heads bowed low by the other panel members  whose only noise was counter accusation and cringing in the face of the questions.
" How do you stop radicalisation ?  was the question .  Are any of our Senators apart from Hanson aware of what young people think?    What kind of cringe stopped them last night from saying something about the frustrations of ordinary people . QandA audience just a fraction too comfortable?

I campaigned harder than I ever have knowing that each election risks the East taking control of the West .

We won back our seat despite the odds against us in Corangamite  The incompetence and ignorance of Labor about the two different cultures not helping their case ( Firefighters and  Schools meddling ) 
Like Henry V's troops we true Nationals are tired of fighting and with the odds against  us growing each for years  to greater that 5 to 1 . i was inspired by those now too old to campaign for farmers and for our young people who are given degrees but no mentors ,   

At this point we wait in hope .Its not clear if anyone will hold the balance of power ..  We have done well to hold influence for so long .
Unlike Labor we have held that confidence of the people not by numbers but by competence . Our  ability to act efficiently in keeping the economy productive hasn't changed .In 2004 when we first fought this battle i wrote about the risk of the children taking charge. As every year passes they gain more control . At some point soon judgement  must come for both the parents and the children

Instead of using his considerable intelligence to make helpful comments,  the opposition's spokesman  on Agriculture (JoelF ) and his colleagues drum up a storm by suggesting the busy incumbents are not doing enough . Too easy.

The very low price offered to some dairy farmers in Murray Goulburn and Fonterra this month is of grave concern to all those who follow the plight of farmers closely.
Barnaby Joyce is now one of very few whose considered approach shows that he , unlike Joel ,  knows that helping keep them stay resilient is one of the largest challenges any country can face . Barnaby  is engaged every day with its complexity.

Fitzibbon , like Ludwig , will be welcomed on very few farms for his carelessness .

Yet that resilient style of the incumbents doesn't stop the unengaged carrying on with quickfix solutions when it suits them - all in the grand old name of best intention( - which wise men know must ALWAYS  be checked for its sus elements)
I remember at University  some of the best minds would argue about how best to help Agriculture with its strange supply and demand curves .

Our Professor Lloyd and the Gruens ( Melbourne Uni) stood tall .
The taller economics building nearby housed smaller professors whose  fixed margins , planning and profit curves practice would bore any of us to tears . Where are those blokes now when you need them? We are not as clever as we think because the complexities of production and people  economic in the  real world don't seem to interest the parties.    
Maybe we should move the seat of governance up the hill to Parkville and keep the old noisy one a sa relic .The parties are behaving like  the move from democracy to Aristocarcy makes sense - oh dear !

 Its tough for anyone who wants to talk the real complexities of ecomia - who resists the modern theories of the gods of globalization and pure efficiency as the wine of heaven .  As far as i can see Barnaby Joyce  is on his own against a sea of free marketeers-- well heeled marketeers on the drip feed even ! . Heaven help us

I say if anyone says again " farmers need to be more efficient " i say rubbish careless talk . They  care more than the city does for their country and they have to bear the dangerous and unnecessary tension created simply by the silly insistence of mere efficiency .( threatens resilience building)  .

 At least our children haven't followed this false faith and started paying more  for eggs and milk.

Governments are not working - Victimhood is on the nose

TRUMP  may not be thinking ( ie pedantically -the progressives problem) , but he knows what the people are thinking .( metaphorically - the big picture persons frame )   Its not working

Those in current power ( the progressives) who 'think" that progress is about following the market and running the country on the shallow virtues of mere sentiment  are in for a shock - a reality check is coming for them .
The political philosophy of the left ( and even some of the new right) has always been reactionary. Even though, on the surface its changed,  its morphed from marxism attacking greed to poor me hiding behind greed  . So the impression that the progressives are " moving on , may just be an impression ' There is not much change in reality. If we are to seek full picture we must face the fact that the lefts picture of heaven on earth involves like the old - A father figure . A generous governor .
The left love to call it  "moving on" , but whose kidding who ?   Where is the Big picture?

The progressives think their ideal is  "evolutionary " but evolutionary  doesn't carry mean we all get carried off to heaven . The real biological process has limits but even natural selection has a warning  to all who make it god ( it produces and explains everything.  evolution , in such a use is clearly a faith,
You can't have a "moving on "philosophy without the risk that some unworthy edifices built by natural selection of the components will become extinct because they are naturally very weak .

In other words not everything works even under the influence of natural selection  
If plagiarists and children were only to admit they picked up gems and called them their own we might have metanoia , instead of paranoia. Fully baked and working not half baked and in the dust bin of so many incomplete views of what evolution means for society ( Hitler Stalin Polpot all used the idea still so popular to advance the case for the " strong over the weak " .

Can we afford another experiment based on the philosophy of evolution, the religion of evolution as the creator , the deterministic strictures of evolution as God  ( cf reality of evolution in adaption)  Clearly not , In One hundred years its caused a holocaust of unsustainable attempts at making like better for noone . Even allowing for the fact that its been the excuse for tyrants to run their own power games no one should forget how they retained that power ( power of ideas )

Final failure  is what happens and is demonstrated to happen throughout history with idealism that doesn't work ,
Which is it boys ?

Having  to eat their own words that 'morality is bunk ',  the progressives  can't NOW face the fact that their political philosophy is downright depressing shallow and patronising  . So many in power and "in church "are not thinking because their political philosophy doesn't allow them to think.

Many are stuck as deterministic materialists   YES they have adopted some "virtues " Not deep enough though to cut any deeper than scratching. Deep enough in their own myopia to make a splash in their  own little birdbaths  .But there is no future in crap, even if you currently hold power .esp COSTLY unsustainable crap 

If you want some freedom from this intellectual gaol ( which relies on taxation and drip feed )  don't vote for TRUMP , and those who chase the popular,  or desperate measures .

Governments are not working - even conservation has a handout mentality

Most of the growing budget in handouts for conservation purposes is not only unsustainable, its not right.  Our taxes badly used.Its popular but that doesn't make it right . 

This big budget should be going to provide jobs for our young people in helping better manage and plan land water and plant use. Instead of that its being eaten up in tokenistic grants and advice and action that's not only skin deep but also often not appropriate in the site. Sound conservation is place driven not name driven ,,,,like the technological tokens below 

Take the current inducements - bulbs, panels and insulation ---they  cost the earth but every one loves em so they stay . 

We as a culture will be judged as overly self focused rich token generation conservationists who pay ourselves for being good.  or thinking we are doing good 

Everybody is going to church singing the right choruses about what they put in the plate ,but ignoring the big real world problems outside .
We can sing psalms about the end of coal without realizing that the little bits above will do nothing to get us toast in the morning .

And while we bask in the glow of our righteousness Peter Garrett at least knows that the hills are still burning - enough to send us broke 

The low view of human nature inherent in the market driven mindset means you may have to pay him to be good . The unsustainability of that idea , let alone its implications in bigger government transfers and nannyism is enough to send those who don't adopt the prison view .....to the nuthouse  or to vote TRUMP --i truly hope NOT 

Oh so powerful but oh oh so vulnerable

Both the ABC and the leader of The Project are in a panic . Despite being controllers of information,they are at a loss to work out why they can't control how people think . Santayana described their condition well - a bit fanatical .
Their focus  at the moment is on climate change and,  showing how deep the desperation goes we see  President Obama joining the chorus in his state of the Nation speech . What higher authority can they get ?   How long can the puffing last?

How come too,  the people are vulnerable to a child - someone who just asks difficult questions of the powerful . One who constantly ignores the PC and the ministrations of the maths office.  Someone like Andrew Bolt . It was once considered a great talent to keep asking questions of the powerful - why don't more people do it? . Why are more people doing it ? ( fact- they are )
 I  don't  go on about wondering why  - I know why or identify which bits  .
Incomplete presentations 
Some would say many don't want to change our use of energy - a fact . But  its not about the facts, but about the key facts presented .  When have you heard the wannabes  talk about dirty petrol like they chatter on about dirty coal;  Not credible with the facts, Not even  high school level logic is applied to the problem ID and solving .

The deeper point is that as FB media and others become more powerful,  we need more than ever a system that can question the doctrines and "key facts " effectively.  The media doesn't allow that to happen very easily because "the audience" do not have time to study things properly . The people are hungry for answers and the hounds of the media haven are ready and willing to howl  for them."Where is the wolf now and why haven't you him on CCV constantly?-- killed him?  ".

We have until recently respected those who study to show themselves approved and told our children to "mind there own business"in complex maths questions   Maybe in the info age with armchairs full of screens we need to do  more of it . I'm switching off both the ABC  and the PROJECT and its because I don't really trust the product .The simple equations presented are too simple .

We all know lots about very little and the ambition to know is fine , The wannabes don't know what they think they know and they don't practice good science  --we need some other way to know -not 10 minutes of  selected "key"facts  in an hours programming and an evenings commentary on their choice of those facts.
We don't need to be lectured about "how sharp and dangerous the wolfs teeth are" -getting the wind up !
Whose kidding who - most of the program is often about "selling"something YOU want us to buy anyway - who are we but vulnerable  like the audience in "The Entertainer "-" already dead" .If the ABC want a future they have to do things differently from other media .It may not be always popular to say certain things.

The facts don't speak for themselves - they just confuse the onlookers who should , if they think , be wanting to hear from the watchmen- those who are not confused by mere correlation  but who integrate equations  to produce " key facts "  "Fact checking" isn't productive  unless you can integrate the maths involved , ABC are lucky to have practical scientists, let alone good mathematicians.
We can't all be watchmen over every issue so why do same old commentators including dumb polys  preach . We are not as much short of resources as key facts to integrate and plan those resources . Its not just information we need but Key facts ,Key scientists on the ground would help,  but the trend is not to hear them. just  those who present nice simple equations and answer the select questions and shut up afterwards , Important. facts like" the wolf could be there"are made but little knowledge is conveyed  ! How much news is presented differently to keep us entertained but not informed or challenged.

The heavenly hosts must wonder , not at our determination to know,  but our failure to know and to find out when we don't.
